Isaiah Johnson is a great example of a Thunder Award winner. He is always willing to help the teachers in any way he can. He is a great organizer and planner. Isaiah is a very caring person and will be greatly missed after graduation

COMMON LEARNING TIME

CLT:
Northwood Public School is implementing a Common Learning Time from 3:00-3:30 daily. Teachers are available for extra help, differentiating instruction, and enrichment. This time may also be used for co-curricular, OLWEUS and class meetings. Early release time may be granted for students in grades 9-12 by meeting the criteria set by the high school principal.

WIN stands for What I Need.  Every week some teachers plan different events for students. If they want to sign up they can or go to CLT. Some WIN activities are: changing oil on your car, play board games, Tom Engen with his CPR dummies, We also have people who come in and talk about their jobs and what schooling they would need. So far I think kids are really enjoying it.  Oh! Mrs. Voigt teaches crocheting (like knitting)
